Meet Alexis (Interview conducted December 2015):

Where were you born: Chicago, Illinois

Favorite Play/Musical: The Color Purple

First Play/Musical: The Lion King! The dancers and the colors inspired me. It was so beautiful and well choreographed. Seeing that show at the Cadillac Theatre in Chicago truly inspired me to study dance and get involved with theater as well. The diversity in that show also showed me that there were no limits to who could be on stage.

What does Pyramid mean to you: Pyramid means courage, strength and confidence. It means people are interested in investing in change and are giving youth a chance to do so. It means family. Creating relationships with those outside your circle. It creates and encourages dialogue.
