Freddie Fulton (Bowzie Brandon) hails all the way from Little Rock, Arkansas, and his first introduction to Des Moines was as a student at Drake University (proud Bulldog!) where he graduated from the theatre program with a BFA. After graduation, he found himself blessed with the opportunity to live in New York while he attended Columbia University to receive his MFA (which he completed last May). He’s a co-founder of Pyramid Theatre Company, and he’s so grateful to be able to create more artistic memories with this wonderful team. Theatre credits include: Long Wharf Theatre’s Paradise Blue (P-Sam), Classic Stage Company’s Julius Caesar (Brutus), 59E59th/Edinburgh Fringe Festival’s Someone Dies at the End (Bama), Seven Guitars (Floyd), The Seagull (Medvedenko), The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World (Black Man with Watermelon), and countless others. Other Pyramid credits include: Fences (Cory), A Soldier’s Play (PFC Peterson), Hooded, or Being Black for Dummies (Officer Borzoi). He wants to take this time to thank all his family and friends, without your support and love he doesn’t know what he would’ve done. Thank you to the amazing Too Heavy for your Pocket team, it has been an absolute blast. And a special thank you Pyramid for continuing to share beautiful stories and for bringing him back to his second home!
