Jeanella McKinney

Jeanella McKinney, a junior at Des Moines Roosevelt High School, fell in love with musical theatre in third grade when she was in her first show, The Music Man. She has continued her career with shows at her schools, Des Moines Young Artists’ Theatre (most recently The Prom), and The Playhouse where she played Lavender in Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical and was assistant stage manager for Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors. Jeanella studies vocal performance, ukulele, songwriting, music theory, and theatre mentorship at City Voices.
